Before I was chasing elopements around the globe…
- 📸 I spent 20+ years as a wedding photojournalist. That’s 400+ weddings from coast to coast, with more happy tears and surprise rainstorms than I can count. I even gave myself a concussion with my own camera once. Dedication? Clumsiness? Let’s call it both.
- 💻 I was the wedding industry’s go-to web nerd. I helped wedding pros with websites, digital marketing, SEO (yes, the stuff that gets you found on Google) and even AI. I spoke at regional workshops too, and managed not to injure myself on stage.
- 🗺️ I’ve been a nomad since birth. I was born in Virginia, grew up in the Arizona desert, then hopped from Louisiana to Oregon to Washington. These days I’m happily rooted in Portland, Maine with Brian, my husband of 23 years, and our son Max. I stay for the amazing food, the small-town feel and the gorgeous coastal weddings.
- And when I’m not blogging… 🐾 I’m still rocking a day job as an IT project manager for a global veterinary diagnostics and software company. So yes, I can plan your dream elopement and keep a software launch on track, probably before lunch.
